Challenge 1000Independent researchers have shown that our Transformative Life Skills (TLS) programs are a powerful catalyst that lowers stress and increases self-control, transforming young lives. We are preparing to saturate the lives of one thousand vulnerable youth in Alameda County, in two structured environments: Juvenile Hall and challenged schools in Oakland, Hayward and San Lorenzo. We will also train the adults in the lives of these vulnerable youth - parents, educators and mental health professionals - in Transformative Life Skills (TLS), to consistently model and reinforce these powerful practices. We will track the effects of TLS on these youth to find out if we can keep more of them in school and out of trouble, and "be the change we wish to see in the world." Niroga cannot do this alone. It costs about $100/month ($3/day or $1,000/year) to saturate a youth's life with TLS. For the price of a daily cup of tea or half a sandwich, you could help us transform a life and change the world. Are you up for the challenge? Help us spread the word. Any amount will be gratefully accepted. |
