Yoga

Come learn about the latest research on the effects of Yoga on common cancers, and how Yoga can help cancer survivors improve their health and well-being. Participants will practice the Niroga Healing Yoga Protocol, which is used by hundreds of cancer survivors and which has been approved for a research study.

Ayurveda

Yoga is the sister science to Ayurveda, and together they offer the most comprehensive system of preventive care and holistic healing. Ayurvedic principles for a healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, herbal remedies, and self-massage, will be presented. Learn how to enhance your body's natural healing capacity with the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.

This workshop is recommended for cancer survivors and their caregivers, as well as yoga students and teachers interested in yoga therapeutics. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Enrollment is limited, so please register early.

 

Presenters

Bidyut Bose, PhD is a certified Yoga Therapist, and researches the scientific application of the principles of Yoga Therapeutics for many common chronic conditions and special populations. Bidyut is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and is the Executive Director of Niroga Institute.
Elke Savala has 13 years of experience as a Holistic Therapist. She studied Ayurveda in the Dr. Vasant Lad and Maharishi Ayurveda traditions and is a certified practitioner. Elke established Shakti Healing, a practice based on Ayurvedic Medicine, in 2002.
