Join Niroga yoga teacher, Julie Dreyer, and Meddle Bolger, in creating sacred music together and discovering divine connection. Pulling elements from kirtan, American folk, and gospel music, and Using call-and-response and other improvisational elements, all will be encouraged to participate in the creation.

Julie Dreyer has been singing sacred music in the northern Indian tradition for 3 years. As a child, she sang gospel and bible chants. Later, she found ecstatic singing as part of a spiritual awakening that coincided with quitting drugs and alcohol. She teaches yoga locally in one of Niroga's programs for at-risk youth, and recently completed her training at the California Institute of Integral Studies Sound Healing Program. She also frequents bay area BART stations as a singer and hugger-at-large.   Meddle Bolger was born into American roots music. His past experiences range from grungy garage rock to acoustic folk music to the hippie jam band genre. He now combines traditions he learned growing up with the ecstatic forms of kirtan. Elements of his own mystic Christianity and neo-pagan spirituality naturally contribute to the Bhakti Jam creation.
