Yoga Therapy ResearchSelf-Control Predicts Academic Achievement and Transformative Life Skills (TLS) Increases Self-Control
This is exactly the kind of exciting research that needs to be done and that policy makers need to see. Researchers are showing that self-control improves academic achievement, and that TLS can systematically increase self-control! It is a nice coincidence that both studies independently used the same brief self-control scale. Given the current confluence of research in social science and neuroscience, it is expected that we will see the same inductive connections between behavior change through pervasive TLS and major social challenges such as recidivism rates in juvenile halls and prisons, high school dropout rates, childhood obesity, and more. |
