Logistics
- Orientation
- Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 12:00-3:00pm
- Introduction to Yoga
(Attendance is required regardless of experience)
- Attend Tuesday and Thursday classes from 7:30-8:45pm from June 14, 2011 – May 26, 2012
- Attend twice monthly meetings from 12-2pm on the following dates: June 25, July 9, July 23, August 13, August 27, September 10.
- Training
- Module 1 - Class meets two Saturdays a month: 12 - 6pm, September 24 – December 17, 2011
- Module 2 – Class meets two Saturdays a month: 12-6pm, January 14 – May 26, 2012
- Location
- All classes and meetings are held at the Niroga Center at 1808 University Ave. (@ Grant), Berkeley, CA 94703
- Commitment
- Must complete both Module 1 and Module 2 for certification
- Bi-weekly assignments (4 hours/assignment; 7 per module)
- Attend designated yoga classes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30pm-8:45pm (view schedule)
- Attend group meetings and training sessions two Saturdays a month
- Participation in IHF committees & meetings (approx. 2 hours/month)
- Regular practice of Yoga, Breathing Techniques, and Meditation
- Volunteer 100 hours of service to bring yoga to communities of need in the first year after certification
