Tricia Tangeman, Program Manager

Tricia relocated to the Bay Area, in 2009, from New York City after earning her MA from Bard Graduate Center. It wasn’t long before she found Niroga, and she hasn’t left either since. Tricia comes to Niroga with over 30 years of combined yoga practice and teaching. Tricia believes in the essential expression of the self through movement and has found the means to unify the body and mind through yoga’s grounding and healing practice. She obtained her Yoga Therapist Certification (C-IAYT) with Niroga in 2011, and is honored to share this healing practice with students. Tricia is a Program Manager and instructor for Niroga’s Dynamic Mindfulness program in Alameda and Contra Costa Juvenile Halls. She enjoys working with the youth and seeing the impact of the program on their health and well-being. Recently, she has taken on the role of Social Media Manager where she is learning new skills as she continues to grow and thrive within the organization.
