We all start somewhere. For Amanda, her start came more as a startle when she found herself snoring peacefully in a yoga class. It was Amanda’s first experience with yoga and the first time she had an easeful sleep in years.
Fast forward to present. Amanda is now a certified Yoga Instructor, a Dynamic Mindfulness Trainer, and a Stress Management Consultant in Dallas, Texas. Amanda supplements her yoga practice with Niroga’s Dynamic Mindfulness Certified Trainer (DMCT) program. She describes how the DMCT training was so important in providing the scientific, evidence-based support she sought. It’s one thing to be able to directly experience the results of a personal mindfulness practice, it’s another to be able to articulate why this trauma-informed, stress-resilience program can lead to increased emotion regulation, reduced stress, heightened self-awareness, and greater focus as proven by field-tested research.
Now the teacher has become the trainer. Amanda resides in Dallas - Fort Worth and holds her own Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher Trainings. She recognizes how important this practice is for everyone, not just educators, students, mental health professionals, or social workers. She went through the program with her mother (an accountant) because, at the end of the day, no matter who you are or what you do, she believes that we could all use more stress-resilience in our lives.
